TH3NATIV3 - Trap Attack Music Video VFX
Th3Nativ3 Approached us wanting visual effects adding to his video on a low budget, this did sacrifice some realism due to time constraints but our client was more than happy with the work provided.
We added a glowing effect to a briefcase, laser shots, and even a hologram shooting from a gun! All to spec from a detailed shots list provided by the client
This video is currently at 100,000 views on youtube! *as of Jan 2021*
Realistic Sci-fi shooting effect
Creating realistic shooting effects can be a challenge, you have to focus on the tiny details to really sell the effect. most people will not notice these tiny details but without them something will still look wrong.
This particular effect had many layers and effects, if watched in slo-mo you can see the area around the shot ripple, distort and change colours. you can see there are many layers to the shot, and that the gun pre charges before each round fires.
CGI Corridor scene
This project was done for fun as well as to learn some new skills.
The entire scene is a 3D render created using Video Copilots Element 3D plugin.
Phone hologram render
Again, i created this little render for fun but also so i could practice some new skills. This was a steep learning curve as id never tackled a project like it before.
My main struggle was trying to get the 3D geometry correct, as well as getting the depth of field effect. Both of these things massively impact how realistic the effect looks.
